Change mine

 

I was watching a movie and Redford said to his girl: You want to change the world. Change mine.

Just like that: change mine.

I´m always thinking about movie´s dialogues. I don´t know if it´s because my work or just because I love the words too. I only know that I always do it.

And then I was thinking about how many worlds I have changed. Because I´m one of those who wants to change the world. And I know for sure I´ve had changed others worlds. I´m talking about guys, schoolchildren, friends and anyone else.

So I asked myself: does anyone changed mine?

I don´t think so.

Oh, yes, some people did the difference in my life, of course. But no one changed my world.

Have I met someone who wants to change the world?

This is the right question. I´m quite sure that the answer is negative.

I need someone who wants to change the world. So this one should change mine.

I´m a little bit tired of changing others worlds. But I´ll never be tired of wanting to change the world.

I realized that I want to look into his eyes and say almost the same words of Redford: You want to change the world. Me too. But change mine first.
